About (Kimberly) Schmidt...

Being an artist from a young age and continuing that love of art, has helped her on this career path. Gaining experience through education and entrepreneurial work has helped to develop the required skills needed to work in the industry.

Gaining clients through friends, family, and acquaintances, she has developed a broader base of understandings in the field and with clients. Working with such clients as the Community Anti-Drug Committee from Shaunavon, to Fame Biorefinery from Calgary, Kimberly has had experience creating sites for different professional levels.

Asides from making websites, she also enjoys creating random things in PhotoShop, Illustrator, and Flash. Expanding her skills by stumbling upon other bits of art and being inspired by the things around her. When not in front of the computer, she is usually found with her camera, taking shots of all kinds.

Fresh out of college, Kim's first industry job was working for Global TV as the Graphic Artist/Animator. Creating animated bits for commercials and the news, and ads for the Star Phoenix Newspaper was a good way to creep into the industry.

Her freelance work includes projects for a few community, educational, and co-operative advocacy groups as a designer and also for SelfReflexion.com as a designer.

Kim is happily currently working at Beagle Productions in Saskatoon, as a web/graphic designer; creating website layouts, animated ads, and performaing other such tasks.
